Turkistan – A New Center for International Cooperation
The city of Turkistan hosted the Second Central Asia–Korea Local Government Cooperation Forum under the theme “Turkistan: A Center for International Cooperation on the Great Silk Road.” The large-scale event brought together official delegations from the Republic of Korea, Central Asian countries, as well as various regions of Kazakhstan.
The forum served as a vital platform for strengthening regional ties, fostering international partnerships, and exchanging experiences. During the event, participants discussed various aspects of international cooperation and explored ways to establish mutually beneficial collaboration.
Panel sessions were held on the following key topics:

The delegation from Shymkent University also took part in the forum, sharing their experience in regional development and educational initiatives. University representatives emphasized Turkistan’s strategic role in Central Asia and expressed interest in expanding international collaboration in the fields of education and science.
This forum highlighted Turkistan not only as a historical and cultural center, but also as an emerging hub for international partnership and cooperation.
