Student house
For students of the university, it is possible to stay in the Student House (hostel) for 210 places. The hostel is equipped with kitchens, showers, laundry, there is a study room for preparing for classes.
Within the framework of the last academic year, a number of residential places were provided on a contractual basis to ensure student accommodation.
In particular, 200 places were allocated under the agreement in the dormitory located in the Sairam microdistrict.
Additionally, 150 places were allocated in the “Turan” dormitory on a contractual basis.
The university continues its systematic efforts to provide students with accessible accommodation.
General Provisions
These Rules have been developed in accordance with Article 5 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education” dated July 27, 2007, Order No. 189 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 10, 2015 “On Approval of Standards of Public Services in the Field of Higher and Postgraduate Education,” as well as Order No. 66 of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 22, 2016 “On Approval of the Rules for Allocation of Places in Dormitories of Educational Organizations.”
Based on the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, students of full-time study at Shymkent University (hereinafter referred to as SU) are provided with places in student dormitories.
Allocation of dormitory places is carried out on a competitive basis by a specially established commission. The number and composition of the commission, as well as the terms of its authority, are determined by the Rector of the University.
The Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Affairs is appointed as the Chairperson of the конкурсной комиссии.
