A delegation of professors from Shymkent University visiting Istanbul Gelishim University.
On May 5th, 2025, a group of teachers and professors from Shymkent University paid a visit to Istanbul Gelishim University, an international partner university in Turkey. Istanbul Gelishim is located in the beautiful city of Istanbul, the cultural capital and a sacred center of education and science in Turkey. It is one of the most prestigious private universities in the country, having received the well-deserved "Internationalization Strategy of the Year" award and European accreditation in all fields of study.
The two universities have had close ties for over a year, with international projects aimed at enhancing academic mobility for students and faculty currently being actively pursued. These projects aim to increase the exchange of knowledge and experience between the two institutions and promote mutual understanding and cooperation.
During the visit, Professor Dr. Kubilay Çimen, the Dean of the Department of Sport, introduced us to the modern campus of the Faculty of Sports and held a meeting with representatives from scientific and international departments. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss opportunities for expanding international cooperation, starting joint international projects, creating common educational programs, increasing the number of students participating in academic mobility programs, and publishing joint articles in the university's scientific journals. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Çimen presented 50 books to the library of Shymkent University.
