On April 15, 2026, Shymkent University held a scientific seminar dedicated to Science Workers’ Day on the topic “Implementation of Scientific Projects”.
The seminar was opened with a welcoming speech by Professor Nurlybek Akynuly Seitkulov, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Rector of the university. In his speech, the Rector emphasized the importance of scientific projects and highlighted the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev, regarding the development of science.
The seminar was moderated by Zhanna Baybekkyzy Akshataeva, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Associate Professor, who introduced the university’s leading researchers and presented four main directions of scientific projects implemented at the university.
- Professor N.N. Azhimetov, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, presented research conducted under the targeted funding program BR22885692 (2024–2026) on “Improvement, preservation and rational use of sheep genetic resources” and shared his professional experience.
- Zhanna Baybekkyzy Akshataeva, Candidate of Legal Sciences and Associate Professor, presented a grant-funded research project for 2025–2027 on legal support for environmental safety in the context of innovative modernization of agricultural production in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Kairat Amenovich Ibragim, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, shared his experience in implementing a contract-based project on “Basics of Art Therapy” for medical college students.
- Bagilya Syezdbaevna Zhozhibekova, PhD, presented the startup project “Eco Lufa Soap”.
During the seminar, faculty members actively participated in discussions, asked questions, and exchanged opinions.
At the end of the seminar, the Rector of the university wished the project leaders success in implementing their scientific initiatives and further achievements.
