An informative historical seminar dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at Shymkent University under the theme:
“Independent Kazakhstan: the history of gaining sovereignty and the future direction of national development.”

During the event, the exhibition “Chronicle of Independence” was presented. As honored guests, representatives of the Shymkent City Museum Association and Acting Head of the Sairam Museum Gulzhan Ernazarqyzy Berkinbayeva, along with research fellows Botagoz Nurkulova, Aziya Bekpeisova, and Babirzhon Fazilov, shared valuable historical insights.
The main part of the seminar continued within the framework of an educational session titled “National History – the Pillar of Independence.” University Rector Nurlibek Akynuly Seitkulov, members of the public association “Zheltoksan Aqiqaty,” participants of the December 1986 events, as well as cultural and artistic figures, delivered speeches. Student theatrical performances and musical numbers added depth to the program.
At the end of the event, outstanding students and active participants were awarded, and the organizers expressed their gratitude.
