Inclusive Education Strategy
The inclusive education strategy at Shymkent University involves adapting the learning and educational environment to the needs of students with special educational needs, who have limitations due to health, socio-economic status, gender and language of instruction.
Our goal is to create a comfortable environment for students with disabilities, help them overcome difficulties, realize their potential and achieve success in their studies and life.
Key aspects of inclusive education in the School of Education:
• Adaptation and creation of a barrier-free environment, including the installation of ramps, elevators, convenient entrances, tactile signs, etc.
• Adaptation of programs: individual or adapted curricula are developed for students with special educational needs, consultations are organized.
• Psychological support: psychological consultations, trainings and workshops are conducted.
• Use of special technologies and technical means: special programs are used, the university website has a mode for the visually impaired, sign language interpreters are provided.
•Alternative forms of exercise: special classes are held to increase physical activity.
