On March 27, 2025, the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, in cooperation with Secondary School-Lyceum No. 24 named after S. Erubaev and Specialized Boarding School No. 12 named after M. Tasov, and with the participation of leading employers, held a joint event aimed at enhancing students’ professional competencies, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills, and establishing close cooperation with the labor market.
Representatives of organizations and institutions operating in the fields of information technology, software development, data analysis, education, and industry took part in the event. During the event, employers provided detailed information about their companies’ areas of activity, current requirements of the modern IT sector, as well as the professional and soft skills needed by young specialists.
Within the framework of the meeting, issues related to industrial practice, dual education, internships, and employment opportunities for students and graduates were discussed. In addition, employers presented real projects and practical case studies, demonstrating the importance of applying acquired knowledge in practice. The question-and-answer session, held in the format of an open discussion, enabled students to define their professional orientation and gain a deeper understanding of labor market requirements.
Faculty members of the department, together with employers, discussed issues related to improving educational programs, updating curricula, and aligning course content with market demands. This, in turn, contributes to increasing the competitiveness of graduates and improving the quality of the educational process.
As a result of the event, agreements were reached between the department and employers on the future implementation of joint projects, the delivery of guest lectures, and the organization of practical classes and workshops. Such meetings make a significant contribution to students’ professional development, the establishment of sustainable partnerships with employers, and the strengthening of ties between education and industry.
