International Student Scientific and Practical Conference Held at Shymkent University
On April 7, 2026, an international student scientific and practical conference titled
“Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation for Youth in the Republic of Kazakhstan” was held at Shymkent University.
The event covered relevant areas of modern science and education and aimed to develop the research potential of young scholars.
The main objectives of the conference were:
to discuss the results of research activities;
to actively engage young people in scientific work;
to strengthen cooperation and exchange of experience among higher education institutions.
At the opening ceremony, the Rector of the university, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Seiytkulov Nurlybek Akynuly, emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence in the era of digital transformation. He highlighted the role of innovative technologies in modernizing the education system and the importance of supporting students’ scientific initiatives.
The conference was moderated by Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations Isaeva Akmaral Umirbekovna, who ensured a high level of organization and meaningful content.
Conference Sections
The conference was organized into the following sections:
Development of natural sciences and teaching methods in the context of artificial intelligence;
New directions in linguistics and national literature;
The impact of artificial intelligence on socio-economic development;
Computer science, physical and mathematical sciences, and IT-AI fields;
“Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Science: Interdisciplinary Approaches and Technologies”;
“Theory and Methods of Physical Education”;
“Historical Evolution of the Legal System of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Era of Digital Transformation”.
Plenary Session
During the plenary session, domestic and international scholars delivered insightful presentations.
In particular:
PhD, Associate Professor at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan Research University Montayev Ardak Bazarbekuly presented a report titled “E-democracy: Opportunities and Challenges in the Context of Digitalization”;
Associate Professor at Government College University Faisalabad Mahmood-ur-Rahman Ansari addressed current issues in bioinformatics and biotechnology;
Doctoral student at Ankara University Tansu Merve Soylu delivered an online presentation on historical and linguistic connections between Turkic and Korean peoples;
Representative of Nizami National Pedagogical University Kudratkhodjaeva Dilshodakhon Gairatillakyzy proposed approaches to developing cooperative competencies using online platforms;
Representative of Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn Bektashova Kanykei Dayyrbekovna discussed the snow leopard as an ecotourism asset and highlighted the importance of digital and GPS technologies in its management;
Representatives of the Institute of Social and Political Sciences (Tashkent), Khumora Kholmominova Abdukholikovna and Zoya Sarsenbaeva, explored the potential of using artificial intelligence in English language teaching;
First-year student of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science Abdikadir Yerassyl Maratovich presented the project “FinGuard – an intelligent assistant in finance and law.”
