On September 29, 2026, the Department of Philology of Shymkent University organized a scientific seminar entitled “Issues of Learning World Languages and Preserving the National Language” within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The seminar aimed to discuss the importance of learning world languages in contemporary society, current challenges in foreign language education, as well as ways to strengthen the status and expand the use of the national language in the context of globalization.
