General information about the university Characteristics of the educational institution Shymkent University was established in 2011 and is a multi-discipline university with a developed educational and research infrastructure, personnel potential, which is designed to ensure that the quality of educational and scientific services of  world standards and constantly updates its activities, the essence of which is determined by the necessity of its integration into the world educational and scientific space.Training of specialists is conducted on a multi-stage education system in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About Education", the Bolona Declaration and other normative documents in the field of education.Mission of Shymkent University: preparation of educated, competitive and patriotically educated specialists for the labor market of the Southern region of Kazakhstan.At the moment the university conducts educational activity in the following specialties of bachelor and master's degree:List of bachelor's specialties.Of Shymkent University.

  Shymkent UniversityIn 2017-2018 academic year, the total continent of students of Shymkent University are  5058 students. Continent of master`s degree-144 the bachelor-4914.Students who has  grants from the regional head  and the rector of the university study at the university.The faculty of the university is formed of qualified specialists and scientists, among them Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Eskendirov Sh.Z., Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Isayeva A, O., Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Kerimbaev EA, economic sciences Kuzembaev Zh.I. others. The university has a modern, standard building, equipped with the latest equipment for educational, educational-laboratory and research studies. All the departments of the university are provided with auditoriums with interactive boards, language training department - lingophone offices.Every year the fund of educational, educational-methodical and scientific literature is replenished. The book fund of university libraries contains electronic textbooks, teaching aids on electronic media. The contracts with the city, regional libraries and the Republican Electronic Library of the city of Almaty are concluded.With a view to strategic development and expansion of integration borders and cooperation with International institutions, Shymkent University concluded memorandums with foreign educational organizations, as well as research and other organizations of foreign countries, such as: Poland (Cardinal Stefan Vyshinsky University), (Graduate School of Management), Germany (Aachen University of Applied Sciences), Turkey (Gediz University), United Kingdom (Coventry University), USA (Scientific Advisory Company Expedition Inc.), Russia (Sochi Institute of Fashion, Business and Law), Kirghiz State University named after. I. Arabaeva, Republic of Bashkiria (Educational institution of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Bashkortostan), Republic of Tajikistan (Khujand State University named after academician B. Gafurov).This cooperation provides the participation of the PPS of Shymkent University and foreign scientists in joint projects. Under the programs of the academic mobility, students, undergraduates and faculty of the University successfully carry out joint activities with partner universities.  

Kulanova Sandugash Sharybekovna

She was born in 1978 in the South Kazakhstan region.

In 1995 she entered the international Kazakh-Turkish University named after H. A. Yassuai on the specialty "Kazakh language and literature in schools with non-Kazakh language of study". She graduated with honors in 1999 from the South Kazakhstan state University named After M. Auezov in the same specialty. 

From 2000, she began working as a teacher of Kazakh language and literature in the technological Lyceum at the South Kazakhstan state University named After M. Auezov.

From 2003 to 2007 she worked as a teacher of Kazakh language and literature in Shymkent branch of the University "Kainar". Since 2007 to the present day she has worked as a teacher of Shymkent University. 

From 2009, she worked as a methodologist of the educational Department of the same University, and from 2011, as a head of the educational part. In connection with internal reorganization, starting from 2013, she worked as the head of the educational process organization and control Department of this University.    

Since September 2019, she has been a Vice-rector of Shymkent University for academic and educational work.

In 2010 she defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of philological Sciences in the specialty 10.01.02.– Kazakh literature. The theme of the dissertation is "National idea and the world of heroes in M. Baigut's prose".

She has been a participant of international and Republican scientific and practical conferences and an author of more than 25 articles.

For a short educational work, she has been awarded numerous diplomas and a medal.

In 2016,  she received a letter of thanks "for a great contribution to the development of the education system of Kazakhstan" from E. Sagadiev, the Minister of education and science of Kazakhstan. 

Kulanova Sandugash Sharybekovna has a great reputation among colleagues and the scientific society with her professional skills, managerial competence.
